Now it is every exciting to see the desperate and the dysfunctional celebrating a lost. The cost of regaining three seats out of four far outweighs the futile attempts of the opposition to save face. NADD has lost period. The APRC still maintain a strategic edge: (a) It has neutralized a noisy parliamentarian, (b) and still marginalizes a communist commentator and a neutered politician into a weak minority in the parliament. The opposition in the Gambia is a very necessary vice for the APRC. After this recent election nobody of sane mind can doubt the democratic credentials of President Jammeh. Jammeh's gain in credibility is a loss for the opposition's moral edge to claim any lack of free/fair democratic elections. NADD's recent win in the by-elections consolidates the legitimacy of Jammeh's credentials as a democratic leader. Afterall NADD is utterly useless in the NA: They cannot pass any law nor block any legislation. So really what is the point of all this noise
about NADD?
Now this has very interesting consequences with respect to Jammeh's standing within the international community especially with the donor countries/institutions. This by-elections shall set the stage for Jammeh to campaign for Gambia as a HIPC to get debt relief, establish his democratic credentials, and by scheduled AU summit next year Jammeh shall be way ahead of winning the Presidential elections beyond a doubt.

At this moment I know for a fact that Yaya Jammeh is a very man.
