RE:Be professionals-Christ George's opinion piece!!!

  Editor: Please allow me space to clear my chest as I cannot no longer bear the personal attack on the journalist of the Freedom newspaper. With reference to hypocrites like Christ George letter stating your reporting style lacks journalistic ethics laughter. Christ if you are blinded I want to tell you that there is genocide taking place in our country. Yaya is maiming, kidnapping Gambians on daily basis. These are the burning issues of the day in The Gambia not Pa Nderrys style of reporting.

  The point you seem to be missing is that Yaya is silencing all independent media practioners in the Gambia so the very ethics your are preaching is draining down the gutters. Dictators need hard beaconing Christ and I appreciate editorial stance on that hit him hard as that is the only language he understands. Let me tell you in a matured democracy like Uk tabloid newspapers aligned their editorial to political parties. Like the Daily mail 7 out of ten editorial is highly critical of Blair and his labour government. They even attack Blair personally so does that mean that they lack professional ethics. The problem in our country is not Yaya but sick and so called intellectuals like you are our malaria instead of criticizing the dictatorship you aid and abait the status quo.

  Pa Ndery keep up the good work let no sycophant cowed you down. We are up against a dictator who would kill, maim and torture to rule for life so let them attack that or shut up. The choice is clear if Christ and co don’t like your editorial style let them not read it. I rest my case.
