I join all to congratulate Wade and his new alliance. They could not have
done it in peace without unity, dedication and perseverance.  We should also
congratulate Diouf for gracefully conceding defeat. Accepting defeat is
indeed a very honorable thing. And I hope history will treat him fairly.

We should congratulate the Senegalese people everywhere for coming this far
in their political development.
