Ebou Jallow:

For sure, I'll stay in contact. In fact, do expect a private e-mail from me
soon. By the way, Ebou, the very day you resigned, I went to the Ministry of
External Affairs and broke the news to them. I had gone to Kingsa
Jawara-Njie's office who was a Senior Assistant Secretary at External at the
time, and mentioned to her that you had resigned from the Council and had
already left the Gambia. And in reply she said she was really asking herself
(days before you left) what were you (Ebou Jallow) up to.

Why? Because she said she tried to get you to deliver a speech at the UNDP
or somewhere, if I remember well, on behalf of Blaise Jagne, since you were
overseeing the External Affairs Ministrty at the time, but did not succeed
in getting you to deliver the speech. At the time, you were very, very busy
going in and out of the President's Office.
And in the end, if my memory still serves me right, it was the seasoned
diplomat, Bai Ousman Secka, who was the Deputy Permanent Secretary at
External Affairs at the time, who finally delivered that speech. I thought I
should share this with you. Anyway, as I said the other day, just keep your
postings coming because some of us are learning a lot from them.
