OPINION OPERATION JAMMEH MUST GO IN 2006 By Voice of the Oppressed

---------------------------------

December 19, 2005
Dear Editor,

What kind of human being in his right state of mind will send such a humble person like Honourable Halifa Sallah into prison for nothing? Honourable Sallah is not a mare politician. He is a profound teacher, and most of us have benefited from the vast richness of his knowledge in one way or the other. Honourable Sallah is not a troublemaker. He is more patriotic than Yaya Jammeh and all his secretaries of state including all those in Jammeh's government.

Yaya Jammeh has no other thought but the daring do to take Halifa into Mile Two trying to paint him into something negative with his Kaninlai infidel brush and Futampaf ritualistic paint that he had painted everyone that ever worked with him since 1994. Yaya Jammeh's unwarranted move towards Halifa was the biggest mistake that he has ever done and he must pay for it. Hafila is loved by 90% of the people and taking him into Mile Two Prisons only increases our love and respect for him.

Let me remind Yaya Jammeh that Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) was accused of something that he did not do and was sent to prison. But his innocence was proven and he became a king. This Halifa that you took to Mile two could one day be your president. And as the scripture said: "as thou has done so shall it be done onto you".

But one thing I know about Honourable Halifa Sallah, he does not have the heart to bury people alive as in November 11th 1994 or killing innocent children as seen in April 10th and 11th 2000 or other terrorist activities that is going on in this country carried out by the so called "Green Boys"

Jammeh's motive for arresting and detaining Honourable Halifa Sallah, Honourable Hamat Bah and Honourable Omar Jallow (OJ) has been exposed. He knows the love that the people have for these men. So he was expecting that the people will take to the streets so that he can justify his plans to halt the 2006 elections. Because he knows that he will loose.

I want Yaya Jammeh to start packing all his things to leave the State House. Come 2006 there is going to be a new operation called "OPERATION JAMMEH MUST GO"

Long live Halifa Sallah, Long live Omar Jallow (OJ), Long live Hamat Bah, and Long live Yaya Jammeh so that you can reap what you sow.

[log in to unmask] Letter To EditorHello Mbai,
How are you there? First of all i want to say if gambians outside think those in the gambia are fools then they are wrong. Because three quarter of gambians voted for jammeh and we are still going to vote for him in the next election. so i see no reason why you should stay away and keep on saying what the majority of gambians will not even listern because you are saying things against our good president.

why didnt you blame jawara who didnt or cant even put a television station in the gambia no good roads,no hospitals and etc. Do you want the same people to rule the gambia no way and they will never. This so call NADD will never win in the gambia. so pls we are not interested in what you are saying and jammeh will even win more in the next election.you are sitting there and saying jammeh is this and that because he remove hte people that are doing nothing but making themself and their children rich and because you people missed that enjoyment you want jammeh out and those doing nothing to come again no way. It is gambians who voted for jammeh and we are still proud of him and there is no way you and your so call NADD Can do.

How many dalasis did you contribute to build the roads in the gambia? what did jammeh did wrong and you did it right? if you are to stay outside the gambia then do so but you so call former people, relatives, party or what you call them will never come back to power. the gambia doesnt not belongs to you. Jammeh is our choice and you better stay silence. A.U sumit will be held here next year why cant you tell them not to do it because jammeh is not good. Jammeh is the gambia leader whether you like it or not and even if you dont like it we dont even feel a spot of it. Good day.

SEEDY BOJANG
