Amadou

Difference in opinion does help a political party, it
breeds in democracy, tolerance and consensus.

Whilst, I happen to have so much regard for Ousainou
Darboe, I have no qualms with Waa Juwara's comments,
it just goes to show that Ousainou Darboe is just the
LEADER and not the OWNER of the party. If one looks at
the state of some First Republic Parties, their
political failure has been as a result of the fact
that it was a leader oriented party, a party survives
as a result of its leader and a party that dies once
the Leader passes away.

Take a look at the following parties; UP, PDP; all
these parties faded away from the political scene,
once their Leaders decided to call it a day. I am
pretty sure that NCP will follow this route once Dibba
retires from politics come 2006. With regards to GPP,
it is my prediction that this party will faded away
once Assan Musa Camara decides to say that he is
finally retiring from party politics.

Thank you
Sanusi

Maybe there is no leadership crisis in the UDP but
there is no doubt that there is a big difference in
opinion&nbsp; between the two most influential members
of the UDP. It is not healthy for both of them to be
making statements contradicting each other. I think
they should be able to deal with their different
opinions in close doors and then try to come out with
a single unified statement.</P>
