Dear Chi Jamma and the Gambia List - GTS supporters, opponents and doubters.

I have received private messages of the sort below from Chi Jamma, and also
ones from L'ers who have taken the time to visit the GTS site and seen
exactly what we are doing, have done and continue to do, people who have
very kindly offered their support. I have replied to both sorts in private.

As this was a public list message, I am replying publicly.

I have joined the list at a time of great tension, when the use of insult
and hatred is in almost every contribution, a tactic that I fear lowers the
status of the cause being fought by all people, of what ever nationality or
religion on behalf of the Gambian people.

If I were Gambian or even African would you question my motives, would you
suggest that I keep 7-8ths of the contributions made to GTS, or are you
suspicious of all people who are trying to do some good?  It is a sad
situation for us all if you are the voice of the majority.

We have all seen corruption in all of its conceivable forms, from people of
every country and race, I am sorry that your trust of humanity is so low.
With wicked people like Mr Ferry (I have not heard of the man) or the Serra
Jarjus adoptive parents, conning people with claims that they are helping
others, I forgive your slanderous remarks, but ask that you base your
opinion of GTS on fact and not on the corruption of others.

If you want references for the work we are doing, please go to our website
and look, please contact the Gambians who are working with us and find out
the sort of people we are.  Until then, (when you have discovered the facts)
it may be wiser to be wiser and not indulge yourself in false accusations.

If you judge me in this false way, how can I or anyone else, ever trust what
you are saying about others.

Very often the people you expect to be your natural friends turn out to be
your enemies and those through your own prejudice. you KNOW are your
enemies, turn out to be your friends.

God knows us all, and will judge us all for our thoughts as well as our
deeds.
