Ramadhan Humor

"Pull the curtains down." the imam's voice went on during mid-day.
Mba-Fatoumatta, wife to the imam gazed and wondered what an
instruction this afternoon, i.e. pulling the curtains at mid-day. From
sleep, Imam Ratib Tunkara has meant to darken the room for a 'shuhur'
meal. He was reminded that 'shuhur' time was gone.

Poor imam went back to the room for a nap, with grinding stomach
walls. The hard lashes on the stomach-wall didn't permit any sleep.
Back and forward from the living room to the bedroom, and finally gave
up that little struggle. The Imam has lifted the gun by the bedside,
loaded with gun-power and pointed to mighty blazing sun for a
'bombarde' to finish the good old sun, provider of heat, water and
warm temperatures.

Mba-Fatoumatta yelled aloud "Come help me! Come help me!"

Curious villagers all gathered for the hue and cry to rescue this sun
. To their dismay, the imam was in for falling down the mighty sun.

"Nay! Nay!" they all went in chorus while struggling to get the gun
from the imam. Imam finally gave up. He drank water and food to
belly-full.

Note:The piece is a tribute to all muslims. The character "Tunkara" no
doubt is a Sarahulle man. It can take the position of a Baldeh as
well. The great world philosophers all utilized traditional
narations. This one, though imaginary and a courtesy of some
grandfather, remains a piece to write, to wish all muslims well.
