Hi Guys,
Yesterday around 8:30pm, there was a fire incident at the Serre kunda
Market. Little or no damages were reported by market officials. The fire was
put off within an hour by fire-fighters. police and soldiers armed with guns
have sealed the market, even stall owners are not allowed in until later
this morning when business men can go in to see the actual damage cause by
the fire. The cause of the fire outbreak is unknown. I went to the market
last night around 8:45pm but I was not allowed to pass through as a police
man told me "....Sallah we won't allow anybody in 'cause we don't want
looting..". Even the traffic was diverted to another way.
This important market has suffered similar incidents and on several
occasions it coincides with very important events like the Nation's
independence. This time less than a week before tobaski.

Watch out for more info.

Mr Sallah
