Hi!
Where are the "champions" and "defenders" of democracy in this
equation? Whilst the UK, France and the rest of the Western countries
are deafening silent, the US appears to be "deeply concerned" and
wouldn't even call the illegality by its name. This because the moment
it calls the coup in Egypt a coup, US law automatically cuts off the
huge military and other aid to the Egyptian military. The US' only
concern in this regard is the interest of Israel. Even the AU,
carricatured as the "Dictators Club" has the decency to call the coup a
coup and suspend Egypt whilst those who parade as democrats tacitly or
under disguise endorse the usurpation of power by the army. Then you
have Saudi Arabia and the Gulf kingdoms openly endorsing the
illegality. I'm not surprised here though that dictators and puppets
choose to side with illegality. Thanks.
Buharry.
