Once again Ousainou Darboe, in his recent interview, lays out NADD's agenda of recriminations against Yaya Jammeh, the APRC and about 51% of the Gambian electorate. UDP is a minority party. It has a very marginal support amongst the Gambian population and it is very unwise for Darboe to play party politics of vengeance at this stage of the game. National reconciliation, and not witch-hunting expeditions should be a credible start for a struggling opposition. NADD should focus on establishing their credibility with a comprehensible manifesto, and solutions to the nation's economic misfortunes instead of speculating ambiguous future prosecutions of past wrongs. Ousainou Darboe is sending the wrong signals at the wrong time. He is making unnecessary enemies amongst the APRC supporters at large...and they may also retaliate by threatening his life too just as Jammeh has warned him.
