In 1995, my uncle returned to work for The Gambia. He was then
simultaneously working on developing the Wonjo as our national drink to be
bottled and compete with Coca-Cola/Fanta. First he was appointed Secretary
at the Scholarship advisary Borad. He worked under Mrs. Satang Jow. Some
days ago i learned from this list that she is Yusupha Jow's mother. Yus,
please ask Aunty Satang what it was like to work with Mr. Sarjo Jallow. This
may somewhat shed more light from an independent respected Lady different
from me,( who, some might think is only presenting subjective facts).

On the morning of the April event, Sarjo Jallow was coming from Banjul when
his car was stopped by the students. When they saw him, their response was:
"Leave him to pass, for that is OUR car". He tried all in his capacity
together with others to appeal to the Gambian People, especially those who
lost their loved ones to forgive and nurture 'The Healing Spirit'. It was at
a very trying moment in our history as a Nation. That we do not plunge our
country into civil strife, in wanting to revenge. Hamjatta, the people of
The Gambia listened to him.

For the journalists, information desks have been created for the first time
in the history of our country in almost all the Departments of State,
whereby journalists can be attended to; to confirm their stories or to get
information. That does not stop those journalists who have their hidden
agendas from printing what they wanted. The late Mr. Dixon Colley, owner of
'The Nation' was on many an occasion arrested and detained for what the
powers at the time deemed as 'sedition and seditious material'. Did that
stop Jawara or his cabinet from claiming to be champions of democracy? Give
me a break! MOJA-G was banned under the same regime. Mustapha Danso(whose
story was later written by Mr. Dumo Sarho) was murdered by the same regime
and his body is in a Pit Latrine in Bakau barracks. July 30th and its
aftermath, with all the lives that were lost is a balance sheet as we write.

Hamjatta the devil you are trying to paint does not exist!
Today, the Wonjo has been developed and ready to be bottled in flavours of
Vanilla and Banana, to be marketted in the European Union and back home, in
The Gambia. Future plans are to build a production factory, that would
provide imployment for our people, as we drink a natural iron-rich beverage
with healing effects.

Hamjatta Kanteh,
you are a blatant liar! I searched the archives, no where have i read you
engaging Aunty Jai. One Dave Manneh and Mr. Sarho's brother were debating
her. You with your usual imbecille behaviour were even then in tantrums and
convulsions. Going on all four to be taken from behind by anybody who was
arguing with her. With dignity she refused to be drawn into the gutter.

Yes, Sarjo Jallow is working with Jammeh, but what you refuse to accept is
the fact that Sarjo Jallow IS WORKING FOR THE GAMBIAN PEOPLE. There is a
word called 'Touché' look it up! Whether my uncle has betrayed his earlier
convictions or if they are stronger now than before CANNOT be judged by you,
but History and The People of The Gambia.

Finally, you wrote that a screw must be loose in my brain:
Hamjatta, there is no history of mental illness in my family. My twin sister
Husseinatou(of blessed soul) died an infant, a victim of smallpox. Both my
parents and grandparents are alive and health.

In 1998, your brother of the same mother and father was diagnosed with
schizophrenia in New York. He is today back home, completely uncared for.
This disease is a heriditary disease. Who knows, the Hamjatta we are dealing
with today might just be showing symptoms of acute depression and a
deteriorating mental status. Sometimes when i read your garbage, i feel
genuinely sorry for you. For all it might take is a little incident and you
will completely lose control.

A Genuine Advice
Please, seek help!

Until then all the insults you have ever showered on Sarjo Jallow, all
derigatory words you directed at him was never for him. Instead Hamjatta
Kantah, you were/are addressing Old Mr. Kanteh, your Father.
Returning your own bile,
Hasatou.
