      COUSIN AND FRIEND

This rainy month, August of 1989,
as August, "augusu" for its heavy
and continuous pouring, not threats
of intermittent rains, yes! we bereaved.

This memory reclined in my cerebral
cortex unfaded and unfazed for this was
a tied or tethered blood.

Our growth was both simultaneous
and yes! Contemporaneous, and
love genetically hosted our breast.

On a bier his tongue or teeth was not
there and I fixed and gazed for any
pattern, still motionless to me.

What more for him not the same
time with mine, Greenwich or Eastern.
Is "DUNYA" and "BARZAK" a different
passage.

What more me, just supplication
for his abode in "JANNATUL-NAIM"
and for all gone, " MA'SHA-ALLAH,"
my dear, Pa Jallow.
AMEEN.

 DAWDA JALLOW 2000.

 Note
Barzak:-- is were we wait for judgement or the life between the here and
hereafter.
Jannatul-Naim:-- is the highest Jannah or paradise.
