Hamjatta, your interpretation of what I wrote is really disappointing
considering you that you appear to be well educated. Get it in your silly
head that in the paragraph you quoted, I was refering to the PRESIDENCY AS
AN INSTITUTION AND NOT YAHYA JAMMEH the person occupying it. In other words
all am saying is that the constitution as it is, the apparent lack of
awareness of the powers that our NAMs have and the role expected of them as
the elected representatives of our people, who are supposed to be
independent of the executive, who are entrusted with the power to pass laws
that enhance the sovereignty of our people and the apparent lack of
conciousness of the majority of our electorate is the MAJOR PROBLEM here. No
matter who occupies that seat, only his/her conscience is our guarantee that
he/she will not abuse this seemingly unlimited powers that we give to the
president. THat's all am saying, period. If you want to maintain your narrow
mindedness, focusing only on the person, be my guest. Me, I am looking at
the bigger picture vis-a-vis the whole set up as it is.

The reasons why I am supporting the government will be answered very soon,
just be patient.

Bamba Laye Jallow you revisit your arguements about the merits or lack
merits for the construction of schools, clinics and hospitals. Try finding
out whether any of these schools, clinics and hospitals that have been built
recently are unstaffed or lack basic equipment. Then you will realise how
illogical you sound.

Ansuma, why can't you for once in your life, give your own point of view on
the issues being discussed, rather than constantly displaying your myopic
bigotry. The more I read the gibberish that you post here, the more they
remind of G. K. Chesterton, who wrote: "Bigotry may be roughly defined as
the anger of men who have no opinions".

If you are asking me to quit, you must be absolutely stupid. I have a lot to
say and will continue to do so for some time to come.
