Gambia-l,

Below is an article from the Observer (15th October),

Opposition allegations baseless APRC administrator says

The deputy administrative secretary of the ruling APRC, Kebba Kinteh, has
described as baseless and unfounded the allegations made in one of the local
newspapers that some members of the ruling party wanted to burn down the
house of the UDP propaganda secretary, Lamin Waa
Juwara. Speaking to this reporter in his office, Mr Kinteh said it was a
ploy used by the opposition and their allies to tarnish the image of the
APRC in order to gain a political capital.

He challenged the UDP propaganda secretary to come foward with evidence to
substantiate his allegations. “Why didn't they identify the number and names
of the alleged arsonists?” Mr Kinteh asked. “Green is the APRC's party
colour but some unscrupulous people in the opposition wear green colour and
carry out acts in order to create the wrong impressions. “Gambians should
quest for peace and stability and not allow the selfish ploy of the
opposition to deceive them,” he advised.

PEACE

Tombong
