Malanding

The case against Dumo and Co was too weak. The only
exhibits which the Prosecution had in possession were
just cautionary statements and the decision by Judge
Belgore not to rule on the admissibility of these
cautionary statements should have given the
prosecution the opportunity to think twice about
proceeding with the trial.

Don't be surprise to hear that the Prosecution wants
to appeal against its ruling; they tried it before in
the case of IGP vs Imam Karamo Touray, Lamin Waa
Touray and 3 others and also in the case of the State
vs the Farefenni III. In all these cases, the
prosecution are left in limbo on how they should
proceed with their appeals!

With regard to Dr YAJJ's absence, well the whole world
is on the lookout. Belgore should be commended for
dispensing justice.

Finally, I am sure the defense team will be vigilant
with the prosecution. Any attempt to bring up new
charges will be deemed as Double Jeopardy.

Cheers

Sanusi
