Mr. Dampha,

I'm totally with you again on what UDP supporters (the majority of the
Gambian electorate) need to do. They need to rise up with one voice and say
"enough with all these stupid little games." This whole charade is about the
looming elections and the APRC's inability to compete on a fair and equal
footing with others! They have nothing to offer that country but one carnage
after another. To paraphrase George Bernard Shaw's line on America, this
APRC is the only party in Gambian history that has moved from barbarism to
decadence, without going through any form of civilization. Talk about a
group of uncouth - totally uncultured- savages trying to run a country! Like
all savages, the only thing they know and respect is reciprocal use of
force. ALL the opposition groups need to start training their cadres in
self-defense tactics to fight back any time they're attacked by these
animals. I'm not saying they should form their own army, (though that option
is really beginning to appeal to many,)but "self-defense" is a universal
right. Many members of the opposition have been killed/maimed/raped by this
govt's thugs and agents, and nothing came out of it. So, those who keep
referring to what the "constitution says" are merely living in Cloud Cuckoo
Land. One have a better chance of winning a Global Lottery than
getting/expecting justice from these criminals. So, all decent citizens
should empower themselves to defend their person from unprovoked, and
unwarranted deadly attempts on their lives. Screw what the constitution
says. It's been manipulated from the word "go" anyway. Otherwise, there
won't be any break in this cycle of state-sponsored terrorism. That is my
line on this saga!

Saul.
