NADD FUTURE PRESIDENT UNVEILS PLANS FOR GAMBIA-APRC YOUTHS DEFECT!!!
  BY STAFF WRITER AKALEKE
The flag bearer for Gambia’s National Alliance For Democracy and Development NADD’S Halifa Sallah, has observed that the economic and political hardship currently gripping Gambians is not natural, but an artificial one since the voters allowed Jammeh and his cronies to rule the impoverished West African country for a second term.

  THE THREE PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS. THE
  STATE HOUSE RACE IS ON!!!!
Addressing several thousands of jubilant NADD supporters in the town of Sukuta, few kilometers from the Capital City Banjul, the NADD future President called on peace loving Gambians to put all hands on deck to oust the Ruling APRC government come October 2006 polls.
Mr. Sallah, a charismatic and leading political figure told the gathering which attracted the defection of over 50 APRC militants that NADD was the answer to Gambia’s political and economic woes perpetrated by the failed Jammeh administration. He says Gambians should rally behind NADD to effect a meaningful change of government, where people’s rights and freedoms will be respected.
Hon. Sallah, who was applauded by the excited crowd lamented about the unfinished economic crisis this government had exposed Gambians to over the years. Sallah, charges that millions of dalasis were pumped into government accounts, “but yet still there is no serious development recorded in the country.” He urges Gambians to take the Jammeh government to task to explain the whereabouts of such funds which could have been used to address other pressing state issues.
The rally which attracted energetic youths across the country, could be heard chanting “Let the thieves pack and go. They have stolen our money. Let them pack and leave.” The youths believed that a NADD government will be more sensitive to their plight, unlike the Ruling Jammeh government, whom they say had neglected them over the years with failed and broken promises.
Taking the podium was the Jarra West MP Kemesseng Jammeh, widely known as “Mandela.” Mr.Jammeh, a former UDP executive member told the crowd that there is urgent need for a change of political leadership in the country, in view of Jammeh’s inability to rule The Gambia. Kemesseng argued that such a change can only be possible if Gambians are united to vote for the NADD flag bearer Halifa Sallah.
Commenting on the handling of Lands administration in the country, Kemesseng charged that the government of the day was hell bent on land grapping. He says the regime had over the years confiscated properties of Gambians without any justified reasons.

For his part Sedia Jatta, National Assembly Member for Wuli and also a founding member of the opposition PDOIS reminded the gathering that “we here today to sensitize each other about our rights and see how can we manage the affairs of our country. Many of you who spoke here almost cry because of the current hardship in the country.”
Mr. Jatta blames political ignorance to the current predicaments Gambians have found themselves today. “You wouldn’t be crying if you know your rights. You have all rights to remove Yahya and his government, as you are the power. Power belongs to the people. You owned everything in the government including the money. Why crying because of hardship? Jatta asked. Mr. Jatta noted that to end the said hardship, Gambians should vote out the totalitarian Jammeh government.
According to the Wuli MP, some members of the APRC even recognized NADD, as the only solution to the current problem in the Gambia. Sedia Jatta, commonly called Old Dad impresses the APRC youths who pledged their allegiance to NADD. He reminded the defecting APRC youths about their cive rights as citizens of The Gambia.

Also addressing the rally was Gambia’s fire brand politician Lamin Waa Juwara, widely known as “Mbarodi.” Waa, the former propaganda secretary for the opposition UDP, now NDAM leader, accused the UDP/NRP leaders of violating NADD Memorandum of Understanding that was put in place to administer the much talked about coalition. Waa charged that Bah and Darboe woefully failed to give any justifiable explanation for their actions to quit NADD. The Niamina Dankunku lion rubbishes the claim advanced by the UDP leader Darboe that his action was prompted by mistrust amongst coalition leaders. “There was no mistrust, whatsoever. They left NADD, without explaining to Gambians what led to their actions.” Waa Juwara fumed as he was hailed by the jubilant crowd.
The outspoken politician extended an invitation to Bah and Darboe to come back to NADD without further delay adding that NADD is the only solution to the country’s political problem. Waa Juwara, an acclaimed political scientist observed that the NRP/UDP breakaway from NADD will further open doors for Yahya Jammeh to sink the Gambia.
The popular former Agriculture Minister in the First Republic Omar Amadou Jallow, alias OJ, urged voters to be weary of politicians who are only interested about their votes and not their plight as citizens. He implored on voters to vote for NADD, which he said will promote National reconciliation when voted into office. Mr. Jallow also picked on the Jammeh administration saying that the coup that sent the former government packing was not a revolution, but a mere rebellion. OJ, says the AFPRC/APRC government had failed and it is time for Gambians to usher a new government that will be more responsive to their plight.
