Greetings, all, "by who"? All one needs to do is look at the stats
from the past 3 elections in The Gambia to know who is the most
serious challenger to Yahya Jammeh. If "Fankung" doesn't think that
Darboe is the most serious challenger to Jammeh then I'd honestly like
to know who else he thinks could/would be s erious challenge to
Jammeh? Unless he thinks no one?

At any rate, I've long maintained that "Fankung"'s sole purpose on
this and other online Gambian email lists is merely to stir the pot
and work everyone up into a frenzy which is why I generally ignore
him/her. And I've long encouraged others to do the same. I think
that "Fankung"'s sole aim is to say the most outlandish things and
thereby draw attention to him/herself in the process. And what's
more, this person doesn't even have the guts to identify themselves.
Which further leads me to believe that they either don't believe half
of the things they're saying on here, or they're too scared to come
out and say who they really are, for fear that they'll be taken to
task for the things they say. At least if we actually know who we
were dealing with then perhaps we could engage them in some sort of a
discussion, but for me, I have just chosen not to give this person the
time of day.

I can understand the urge to feel that one must answer or rebut or
debate the kinds of things that "Fankung" spews here on a daily basis,
however I just don't think it's worth it. Anyone can see that it's
sycofancy and pandering in the highest order or else this person is
just purposefully pressing people's buttons.

At any rate, am going back into my little corner of the Net and am
from this point forward taking my own advice.

Ginny
