Mr. Halifa Sallah:

Time really passes when one is having a good time. I could not believe
addressing you and even disagreeing with you. Brother, you have come a long
way. History is vital and thus, may I introduce myself.

I hope I'm not mistaken, but I believe you are the same Halifa Sallah at St.
Augustine's High, and the same energetic person at the Department of Social
Welfare. A warrior to the young Gambian students, including myself. What
happened to the fire in your belly. Brother are you drifting from your
original stance. Please do not give me any intellectual excuses. You have
not answered by questions. What is your position on the attack and
intimidation of the UDP leadership? What is your position on the innocent
slaughter, rape and torture of Gambian students? Why are you taking a
neutral stand since the formation of APRC? Have you been bought? Are you
protecting your own selfish ego against the interests of Gambians? We are
tired of intellectual showmanship. We want leadership. Are you afraid to
say the truth?

Brother Halifa, I can go on and on. I have not given hope on you. Please
reflect a moment and research the immense contribution you've made to The
Gambia during Sir Dawda's Presidency? You have a moral obligation to join
forces with the opposition, including the NRP and the UDP. Let us set aside
our differences and eliminate dictator yahya jamus. The opposition cannot
win without uniting. Let us borrow a page from the Senegalese people. After
all, we come from the same mold.

I have the highest respect for you, but please do not drift to pastures. We
are anxiously waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting.....................

Comrade,

ML Jassey-Conteh

NB: Thanks for the correction on "anxiously." The "C" is next to "X" on the
keyboard.
