Ebrima,
many thanks for this "new light" on the current political torpor obtaining in our dear Gambia. Without much study of this exposé, it is apparent that the disaster is an original Senegalese concoction. They made the first mistake!

How can Senegal, inspite of its bureaucratic sophistication, make Yahya Jammeh privy to the contents of such a damaging document without first resorting to establish beyond reasonable doubt, the authenticity of said document? How grossly could all the intelligence at the disposal of President Wade fail to see that our Lordship Yahya Jammeh would simply wax hysterical at the prospect of parading oppositional heavyweights to the Mile Two Hilton?
How on earth can our Yahya, now after all this huge furore, persuade himself that it was all a monumental hoax, that arresting his political nemesis, was a big big mistake, a mistake that is going to make him appear even smaller than he previously was?
In his outrageous Koriteh speech Presiddent Jammeh made mention of the opposition, Gambians active online, and other malicious elements (Samba Bah and Lie Conteh?) bent on implanting the seeds of discord between Gambia and Senegal. Is it improbable that Yahya Jammeh knew of the forgery but acted on his threat to silence some people anyway?
Besides these immediate reactions, I am convinced you obviously know the source of the forgery. If the forgery is true, then it must be said without equivocation that it was extremely criminal.
All of us need to think of one thing: The struggle to unseat Jammeh is a JUST CAUSE. There is therefore no need whatsoever to resort to criminal methods or misrepresentation facts in our efforts to get to that noble end.

Cheers,
Momodou S Sidibeh
