Subject: UG-ACED: A NEW UGANDA IS IN THE MAKING

Ugandans

When ever you refuse to state the facts you will remain wrong untill when proven otherwise.

The guns in Uganda and specifically in Northern and Eastern Uganda, are not guns to create democracy or even to create dictatorship. And I think we as Ugandans must put this very straight, for when you equate Museveni's war in Northern Uganda to either creating Democracy or dictatorship I think it means we are missing some very fundamental factors in that war.

1) When did this war start?

It started from way back as soon as Yoweri Museveni under the banner of National Resistance Movement came to power. The war in Northern and Eastern Uganda has been so long that its length has surpassed all wars that have ever happened in our nation. That war has killed more people than any war has ever killed in Uganda's history. Patriotic Ugandans like Musaazi, Ssemakula, Lutimba Matovu, Kibuuka, Kironde, Have all but given us the numbers of Ugandans killed under Iddi Amin and Obote's government. Those numbers have now been crafted in a stone. Although none of them can back up such a claim or a justification of such a number, those numbers have become what my neighbour COO calls an accepted roomers. And we have moved on. But there is no one among those lovely and very trusted Ugandan/s who has ever put a figure on how many Ugandans that have been murdered by NRM since its inception to power. We have got very chilling reports like the latest of Ajok. A woman who was raped by a UPDF officer and shot to death, shooting her baby dead as well. But those same very patriotic Ugandans did not even post a dam thing about this incidence. What is important to Mwaami Kibuuka and the many I have mentioned, is the Obote's attack on Lubiri in 1966.

2) Couple of years ago I posted an article in New Vision that the war in Northern Uganda is going to cost all of us as Ugandans, and as a nation very directly, whether we want or not. The best we have got is the crying of yes Buganda cares about the war in Northern Uganda for even Nabagereka complained about it. Then I ask, what if Ajok was Naluggwa in Mityana? What exactly would have happened in these forums? What if today some body out there had a case where UNLA really raped a woman in Nakaseke and killed the same woman with her baby? For look here the war was in Luwero, and the allegation is that Museveni rebalated Luwero District from the Bombo UNLA. Then the most logical question is why are the atrocities that UNLA did in Luwero are still a secret to today 2003? Why is it that the sufferings and deaths of our people in Luwero District are blamed to only one single person Milton Obote? Why is it that today, when Obote is out of power, Obote is a local man like Edward Mulindwa in Toronto, why are we not getting information of who exactly was killing our people in our district?

But most of all why isn't Mwaami Musaazi, Ssemakula, Lutimba Matovu, Kibuuka or even the intelligent Kironde grilling NRM today to open the books so that we can exactly know who killed Ugandans in Luwero? Why is it a top secret and a very classified affair that we do not want to not only know but to brush off. Was Obote a soldier? No he was a President. So who exactly was in Luwero and killing the people, I am talking about those people whose skulls were displayed day in and out in Uganda?

And why are Ugandans not even interested to know?

Those questions can not lead me any where but only to one conclusion. National Resistance Movement with the Patriotic Ugandans know exactly why we have an un-ending war in our country. A war that has killed more people than any war in history. And the more we brush this fact off the worse the situation will be. Follow my drift.

Uganda National Resistance Movement wants to create Uganda with two divisions, the south part which is populated and the Northern part which is agricultural. The southern part will include all Buganda all the West and all Busoga to the Kenya boarder. Sources are telling us that South of Karuma Bridge must be the last point of dwelling. That is why initially NRM used to actually close the bridge every night. So that no one goes to or fro all those districts. Sources are telling us that it is in the agenda of Uganda National Resistance Movement, to put on as much pressure to the Northerners to see that they migrate from all that part of Uganda and any Northerner who refuse to leave is expendable. One of the tricks used by NRM during the war, was to attack the army and make sure you do not kill them but inflict as much pain as possible, so you get the soldiers and shoot them in such a way that they are taken alive, for any soldier who sees their suffering becomes terrified and will not dare come into the battle field. I want you to go back and look at the Ajok's case, She was a married woman with in a camp, a wife of a business man, of course she was known by every body. She was kidnapped at a gun point, by a UPDF soldier who was known, yes we know his name, we know his force number, and we know that he had done this type of thing before and on many occasions. Now what exactly does that mean? Was he raping women and killing them over and over? But wait a minute he is lost now.

Tell me how many people in Northern Uganda who witnessed that incidence who will not pack up their things and leave Northern Uganda?

A soldier was brought in hospital in Northern Uganda for he had been shot by his fellow soldiers for refusing to go and stage an ambush on the Kitgum road. That was made public even in Uganda papers. Have you ever wondered how many ambushes are done by Konny and how many are done by Uganda People's Defence Forces? Now let me as well go back when I was in Uganda when a convoy of buses to Arua was attacked. I personally talked with some of the survivors, and they categorically stated that the people who were killed were killed by Uganda Government gun ship which came from Gulu. Not by Konny. And as people from Northern Uganda, surely know the difference between Konny and a gunship.

People this is a government agenda which has been in the making for too long, we have been lied upon and upon that it is Konny attacking and killing our people, but it is UPDF killing our people. The point of understanding has failed in only one part, Northerner have stubbornly refused to vacate the land.

Let us look on some very crucial factors that have taken place in our midst. (a) Uganda government proposed to transfer all children in special schools in Buganda, Uganda government went to Bukalasa Agricultural Collage to ask for permission to build in schools for only children from the North. Bukalasa Agricultural Collage refused. But if you want to cut short a society, you must attack both the adults but most of all the children, for they are the new generation coming. If Uganda government wanted to take the children from War Zone/s why did it want to build specific schools for them? (b) Remember that Northern Uganda has a production of Sim Sim, Salim Saleh was and I think is still the only Ugandan allowed to buy and sell Uganda Sim Sim. That was done to allow Salim Saleh to have the ability and access to all land in the North as he is expanding the agriculture sector, in deserted areas. (c) Look very carefully on the people attacked by Konny, brutal as Konny is, he comes un noticed by UPDF, he attacks and kidnap the people he wants, Konny takes them and cuts off their ears and noses. UPDF shows up after the ears have been cut and the women have been raped then they are rescued. Now as a man who was in Luwero during the war, I saw NRM wearing UNLA uniform in the day and at night wearing torn clothes with a very different story, so the story of Konny kidnapping people and cutting off their ears and then those people are even given access to the press is crap and I am sorry I do not buy it. Konny waits untill when people are on Malwa then he attacks and kills. No that is a set up I am sorry.

Ugandans, This is a well planed agenda, to remodel our nation. Decimate the Northerners and as much as Easterners as possible, turn that whole fertile land, into a huge mechanized agricultural enterprise, and the population stays in Buganda and in the West. What is very absurd is that many of the Baganda in these forums are supporting NRM. For when a government, and any government becomes a killer government as National Resistance Movement has become, and you as a Ugandan do not stand up on your two feet to publicly rebuke it, but you decide to sit with the same killer government on the table and make negotiations and deals to make you more stronger and powerful, at the expense of Ajok and her child's life, for you want federalism. My brother you are taking a loan that can turn out to be very expensive for your children. And whether you will be alive or dead, remember that every Ugandan who dies under this government that you do not care about, has the same blood in her as you, as your sister, as your daughter and as your mother.

Enjoy the peace and sleep as much as you can for Obote is no longer a Uganda President and that is what matters the most.

Musaazi, should I read this as your reminder of your stated position
of being enlightened and having facts at your fingertips,or wanting to
engage in the dissections of the facts you are uttering?
I am Kipenji and therefore my ideas reflect my views.UPC is a political
party that belongs to those Ugandans who subscribe to its mission and
visions and I do believe they have a well recognised and established channel of communicating their views. They need no Kipenjis of this world
to do that for them because they already have many able and very articulate members to do that.Since I hold no such positions within UPC
feel free to have discourse with me as Kipenji and remove the rancour and paranoia that appears to be engulfing you about UPC.
If UPC was the monster that you and your killer and certified thief Mu7 wants all and sundry to believe, after all these 18 years of villification, believe me,what they write about the youths doing in the name of UPC would not exist at all.Have you ever genuinely asked yourself why a party like UPC,which you so much hate with all your
being has failed to die away like you have most often verbally and otherwise murdered it?.If you deligently seek to get the truth, you will
find the answer not very far from your nose, and then you will understand
what people in politics ought to do inorder to have a frenzy following like
UPC has.Your NRM I am sure will not because while your "Olufubanja"
is still killing left, right and centre his own majors and captains are
challenging him very severely and making him more paranoid.I know you
will call this freedom cum democracy but then you will ,like your olufubanja be living very sureal lives. For Guns do not promote Freedom/Democracy and neither do they maintain it.(Read about Iraq)
  God bless.
  Thank you.
  Kipenji.

Kipenji, are you aware of the following incidences around the world:

    1. Recent killing of the Swedish foreign minister in broad day light at a
    mall
    2. Recent killing of a judge in Kenya (at his home) who was also looking
    into corruption and reforms
    3. The controversy surrounding the death of Dr. Kelly, the WMD scientist in
    Britain
    4. South Africa has the highest murder rate in the world
    5. Botswana the highest aids infection in the world
    6. The political stalemate in Zimbabwe which has led to the virtual collapse
    of that countries economy
    7. Homosexuals being ordained as priests in America and the soon to be
    sanctioned homosexual marriages

I believe in your mind all these countries are at the brink of collapse
because of the above stated (isolated incidents).....once there is some
unfortunate incident in Uganda, you guys immediately spin it and interprete
it as some kind of premonition.

...come on guys, let's try and raise the level of the discuss. I know there
is no love lost between you and the NRM, to me that is perfectly in order,
that is well within your right, but let's also talk about ideas and
suggestions that can move our country forward. For example Mr. Kipenji what
are your own (personal ideas, try and forget that UPC exist), about say
improving Education in Uganda or about health care, science and technology,
etc. Can we broaden the discuss atleast.
