PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh' -Risky days ahead....The Gambia is not pleasant at all....
    Risky days ahead.....

The way things are going in The Gambia during this period means nothing is pleasant here.Nothing at all. These are days of sad events and tearful faces.Sad hearts everywhere. Why is all this taking place? It pains when one hears bad news every time. The TV is bleeding with bad news, the Radio station is also steaming with bad news, the streets are filled with bitterness, families are whining every time. Endless complains every where. There is no doubt in any Gambian's mind that these are bad days for all of us.

The worst thing to happen to any country is when the state starts witch hunting people it suspects. Especially people the state perceives as future threats to its very survival.

These are compounded risks. These are risks we face every day here in The Gambia,we are so scared and worried. The external factors are scary, the internal factors from the state house and its media outlets are also scary.Should we live in this constant fear? Can we live in it for so long? There are so many stories being spread around.

The challenging external factors...Is it all fiction?

Before we heard the Kukoi Samba Sayang factor, then the Ebou Jallow factor, then the Sanna Sabally factor now we have Ndure Cham's within the rumour milling machine. Sometimes we do hear that people are preparing to attack us from no where. This is too much. How many enemies has Jammeh caused for us and for himself? Who is the prey here? President Jammeh or us Gambians? Who causes this confusion? Why are these people trying Jammeh?

Why is Jammeh calling them to try him? Some of them show loyalty to Jammeh now but they are still not trusted in the rumour machine. So many scary stories in the streets of Banjul,Serekunda,Brikama,Bakau,Basse, now Fatoto.President Jammeh should stop following this trend. Is he dancing to this tune on his own or is he being influenced by hiding ghosts?

Jammeh should concentrate on strengthening democracy. If he wins this election that is it if he loses then let him pack and go.That is what a patriot does. The coup d'etat thing is not working anymore Jammeh. Why not you start engaging the political party leaders? Be genuine with them.Trust them, use their experience and then help maintain peace. He who rules by the sword dies by this very sword.Charles Taylor was advised,he refused.Where is he today?

President Jammeh should not listen to Yankuba,The daily observer and others

The way Yankuba is handling the campaign after the coup is not the least good for Jammeh.Yankuba should not demean the soldiers by saying it is Jammeh who made it easy for soldiers to own a car. That is not a good sentence. This is against Jammeh himself. He came to power poor today he owns fleets of cars. What is Touray implying? Is he saying Jammeh stole so much so that he has made it easy for his colleagues also to get cars now? Why would Touray go to Senegal trying to help capture Ndure Cham?

Does that mean a good sign? Is that not derailing the peace and love that exists between the two capitals? I am at the moment in Kanifing estate listening to voices in and out of the streets. So much is being said here and in Banjul. President Jammeh is jeopardizing a lot of things within the subregion with this coup thing.

He should stop the rhetoric from his supporters. Why would someone use coup d'etats during rallies? Why? Why is Jammeh wearing military uniform when he is contesting elections? These are risky days for Gambia.
