Harun,
I am having a big problem to understand what we can do, even if we
traced being cheated. This is part of the game. WHAT WERE THE WELL
EXPERIENCED OPPOSITION OFFICERS WHO WERE ON THE GROUND DOING? WERE THEY
SLEEPING OR WERE THEY HYPNOTIZED TO ACCEPT ROBERTS LAST MINUTE DECISION
AND ALSO TO CERTIFY THE ELECTION RESULTS ? If i may remember in one of
Kebba Dampha`s posting, he told them not to accept the decision from
Roberts. It was their humble duty to disagree with Roberts, check the
total amount of registered voters in each constituency and the voter
turn out, before certifying the result. Let us accept the errors from
opposition officers, and concede defeat as they correctly did. We
accepted to enter the arena, so we were beaten. We have intelligent
people in this forum, and we all know what is right or wrong. As we are
calling for democracy and the rule of law, we must be very careful not
to make a hollow of our credibility to the international community. Let
us show the whole world, that we have no hatred for Jammeh, we just want
him to do the correct thing. Let us forget about the election result,
and follow him on the human rights issues, because he has a lot to
answer overthere. It would be very unchristian and unislam to reject his
promised olive branches, because it is his strategy to win us in the
international community and the whole world. But we all know that " A
monky will never stop climbing " so he will prove himself, just like he
has started now. Let us be vigilant, and take him to task.
Elhajj.
