Pleasant Weekend to you all,

I would like to start by thanking Maafanta.com, Jollofnews.com, Senegambianews.com, Gainako.com, HelloGambia.com for carrying the maiden press release of Alikuning Society For The African Family (ASTAF). In this free world of media pluralism, it is encouraging to see alternative channels of dialogue and access.

It is my pleasure to inform you of the first concrete achievements of Alikuning.

Some key members of the Sarahuleh Communities in Angola, D.R. Congo and other countries I will NOT name here have agreed to raise funds for the construction of a technical school (Institute of Technology) in The Gambia by Alikuning.

A piece of land has already been secured in URR and once the funds reach the substantial amount for the construction of the buildings and procurement of educational materials, work will start in earnest.

I will use the time to get quotations from architects and construction firms to be on the stand-by modus.

You will all bear with me witness that Alikuning is open to all human beings who accept the articles of its constitution. I will personally castrate any hate-preacher who goes about gossiping that Alikuning is a Sarahulleh tribalist organization. If she is a woman, she can pick her own punishment. The choice of a Mandinka name (Alikuning) for our organization speaks for itself.

I invited people to join and did my best to explain my motives but no one should expect me to lick his/her boots and also beg people to join or support us. If my Sarahulleh people in and out of The Gambia decide to take the lead by opening their wallets and treasuries, this does not create room for pettiness and the typical hypocritical Gambian attitude. No one is stopping others from sharing our commitment to Enlightenment through Alikuning.

Thanks. I am looking forward to inviting you all to the official opening of our Institute of Technology (final official name will be confirmed later) within the next 24 to 36 months; all things remaining equal.

Once again thanks to all those who welcomed Alikuning.

XA NAWARI MAAREMU!

Prince Bubacarr Sankanu
