Gambia-L:

I was shocked to have been contacted a short while ago, by BBC Local Radio
Kent, during which I was informed that the body of the well known Gambian
writer Ebou Dibba has just been found somewhere in Kent, in mysterious
circumstances. I have been asked to give an early morning interview (8.10am
Wednesday) to BBC radio Kent to talk about the life and work of Ebou Dibba.
He was a Gambian of high stature: the first Gambian Fellow of the Centre of
West African Studies, University of Birmingham. We shall all miss him and we
send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Ebrima
