To reply to a digest, insert the relevant message header; don't reply to the digest header

Simplest explanation (some might say simplistic) is that we do not have the
digestive "tools" to process grasses. So, we get them second hand by eating
animals who do possess those tools. In other words, we let animals
"pre-digest" grasses for us.
