I just received the kettlebell I ordered from Dragondoor and am very pleased
with the simplicity of the device. for those who do not know what I am
talking about, it looks like a cannonball with a handle/grip formed with
it. Very effective for several forms of cleans, snatches, presses and other
conventional lifting moves with the element of an asymmetrical shift in the
weight as you raise in consideration of the rotation that the "handle"
requires. The theory is that it recruits several muscle groups through
completion of the lift. Some of the lifts can create a very rapid and
intense cardio effect along with the load on particular muscle groups. I am
initially pleased and impressed and think that the intensity and simplicity
bear paleo consideration. Also, aficionados suggest doing the exercises
barefoot on grass! Very paleo but puts the toes at great risk. I will
report as I go forward with this addition to my exercise options over the
next couple of months.
