Edith mentioned in one of her posts the non "alphas" eating less well than
others.  What has been shown again and again is the EXTREME equality of HG
societies.  With the exception of perhaps some of the eskimo peoples the old
were very well cared for to the point of food being chewed for them if
dental wear prevented normal eating.  As to the differences between neo and
paleo peoples in regards to exercise, the neolithic or agricultural
lifestyle was as active in total as was the HG lifestyle.  However the total
hours spent doing heavy work were much longer than for paleo, without the
quick bursts into anaerobic areas which have so many benefits (nor the long
periods of rest and play).
