25 years after its original publication, the nrsv has become the most 
widely used and accepted and academically used Bible translation at seminaries.

this is what Chris used in seminary and in this ecumenical edition 
has all the books contained in the protestant, catholic and orthodox canons.

The new testament is self-contained while the old testament is a
