Phil,

Good one.  You may recall this one but, for others, though this is a little 
different, it may be worth saying that a couple of years back God told me to 
get rid of something very preicous to me.  It was a special spoon which Dad 
had given me when I was so small.  It was a large soup spoon and ideal for 
eating Mum's stews without spilling too much!  . . ..  Later he told me this 
spoon was taken from a German man killed in the war . . ..  (I know a little 
about those circumstances but on't go into that one right now.)  Anyway, it 
stayed in my possession and I continued to use it until the Lord spoke to me 
about throwing it out because of the evil intent which was behind that man's 
death.  I did it and knew without a doubt that it was the right thing to do.

That was only one small thing the Lord asked me to throw out of my life.  We 
all need to be careful to get rid of everything that stops us in our 
progress with Him!  (I speak to myself as I write . . ..)
