During my bible reading this morning, i came across something that i hope 
will be of comfert to you.  My scripture of reference is Deut 1:2.

Deuteronomy 1:2 "( [There are] eleven days' [journey] from Horeb
by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh-barnea.)"

this journey that the Isrealites set out on was suposed to take 11 days. 
There disobedience, doubt, and impatients caused God to turn it into a 40 
year journey.  So, why not listen, trust, and obey the Lord?  If Moses, 
Aaron, and a whole generation of Isrealites would not have sinned they 
could've bypassed the whole wundering int he desert and take the promise 
land sooner.  So, if you're going through a trial, walking through a desert, 
keep the faith!  God will bring you through to the promise land!  Just like 
he promised he would!  Keep the faith and hold on!
