Vicki,

Glad you were bold and let God speak through you. I am sure it will bare fruit in that driver's life.

Subject: Not at all dramatic

The other day I was going to work. This day I needed to use the transit here instead of the regular bus. The driver pulled over to let this other woman out. He couldn't have let her out anywhere else because she would have had difficulty getting in to the building where she was going. This guy was mad at the driver because he had to go around his vehicle. He was only parked there for 30 seconds or so. Or it would only have been that except that the guy who was upset that he had to go around the transit vehicle in his truck went in to a tirade that you wouldn't believe. I began to pray while I turned on my cell phone to call 911. Finally the guy let up on his vicious verbal assaults and threats. I had not reached 911 yet. All the while I was praying. So the driver got back in the bus and indicated that he was very upset and needed a witness. And we talked about it. But all of a sudden before I knew it the words were out of my mouth. I heard myself asking him if he would mind if I prayed for him. I think he was expecting me to just pray for him throughout the day, or some silent prayer. And then I prayed for him. He was definitely affected by the prayer. I got to work and as I was getting off the bus, he thanked me and commented about how much better he felt. I began to walk away but he came up to me and thanked me again. I told him that whatever the result it was because we have a prayer answering God who truly cares about us and wants to be a part of our lives if we'll let him. The incident was unusual as far as I was concerned. I did talk to our transit authority, giving my report of the incident. I wonder if the God incident was really the big happening of the day. Oh! I'm so glad we have a God we can call on in all of our times; most certainly we can call on him in our time of trouble. I wished I had been carrying a simple and to the point tract with me.
