Carol asked me to share the following news from her.

Hi Dear ECHURCH family. Vicki has just posted your responses to Phil's
messages about my most recent throat problems. I was greatly encouraged by
your love and sure need all the prayer I can get!
I am now into the third week of this throat problem and, after taking a good
week to get "very bad", it's now getting slowly better but still is quite a
mess. Already today, having had Mike home from work as it's Saturday, my
voice is beginning to croak and cave in and this morning I saw yet another
new large ulcer, though last night one disappeared after prayer from our
elders at church. (That one had been particularly painful.)
Please continue to pray as my voice has taken such a hammering over the
years and I can't help being a little afraid that one day I shall be doing
completely without it, if I go on with all these viruses and infections. I
have also had four bad choking bouts in the past year and now my GP is
persuaded that I must visit yet another E.N.T specialist. Well, I sure know
our local hospital. I had two visits this week - one for an ongoing eczema
problem in my ears and one to try to fine-tune some new treatment I have for
my back. This is some pretty hefty medication, used mainly for epileptic
patients but in large doses can be useful in treating back pain. It also
offers some better quality sleep (sometimes) and a few not so good side
effects.
This all sounds pretty much as though I'm "cracking up". Well, I could say
that literally as my heel cracked a few weeks ago and, although it went
"crack" back into place a few days later, it still remains pretty sore!
I shall really be glad to see this "new body" of mine and, until that time,
want to be faithful to all that He has called me! The time is short and I
don't really have enough to be ill and laid low! There are many out there
who are hurting and lonely and they must be at His party, that wonderful
marriage feast to which we are invited, so please pray.
I'm sorry not to be participating in the list at present but felt I really
couldn't get back to as much email as I had some months ago - but one day,
hopefully, I shall be able to make it!
Heaps of love to you all. (I won't mention names and then I can't forget
anyone!)
In Him:
