Pat and Shelly,

I got heavy handed on the delete button so I have to say I believe it was
one of you who mentioned the statement of money as the root of all evil and
wondered where that came from. I'm not sure if there is some saying that
has been passed down to us from years back with those words. Scriptural
speaking, however, it appears that it is not the money that is the culprit.
It's our attitude toward the money.
(NKJV) 1 Timothy 6:9-11 says:
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into
many foolish
and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have
strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through
with many sorrows.

The Good Confession
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness,
godliness, faith,
love, patience, gentleness.

And as The Message renders it:
1 Timothy 6:9-11:

But if it's only money these leaders are after, they'll self-destruct in no
time.

Lust for money brings trouble and nothing but trouble. Going down that path,
some lose their footing in the faith completely and live to regret it
bitterly ever after.

Running Hard
But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this. Pursue a
righteous
life--a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy.

As Paul speaks to Timothy here, it's in the desiring riches for riches sake,
that is the problem. Then he tells him what to run toward. You both are
running toward those good things. so you can count on God to provide for
your need. And, by the way, I'm still very much in the process of learning
this lesson myself.

Pat. I'll be praying with you about this loaned equipment and your step of
faith. I can hardly wait to see what the Lord does for and with, and in
you.

Shelly. I'll be praying concerning your driver; your need as well as her
need. That you'lll be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be able to share the
right words at the right time.

Hugs all Around, or as you would say, Pat, squeezes. However, you're the
official squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezer on this list. LOL!

Vicki
