Good News! Donnie is Doing Better!
Praise God!
I talked to Donnie earlier this afternoon! He's
at Saint Joseph Hospital here in Lexington! He's in room #412
I said that it was good to hear his voice!
He said that it was good to hear anyone's voice!
The Kidney doctor released him! His kidneys are functioning normally!
He still has some "fluid levels going on, but he
may go home tomorrow, depending on the level of swelling!
Undoubtedly many of us have lifted him up before
our Great Creator God, And indeed he has herd our prayers!
I got hold of those doing Skype Church, and they
Skyped his cell so they could talk to him themselves!
I hope to go see him myself later on today!
Our God is an Awesome God!
Please pray for Donnie's continued recovery, and for strength and stamina !
God Bless you, as you stand in the gap, for God's
Kingdom Work, against Satan, our adversary!

years ago, God has worked through it to add a new
detention to my world! New Friends, and Recently
New Potential employment opportunities are
getting me pumped up about the future, in God's plan for me!
Indeed, it's hard to keep on tickin' if your
"ticker" says No! But Our God Is Able!
Please know, that every opportunity that we have
to be together virtually, or face to face, is
special to me! You're making a tremendous

Visiting your church several times, and other

Pastor Donnie's Saturday Morning Update: This is
the fourth day after my surgery on Tuesday. I
must admit, the first couple days
were EXTREMELY difficult, yesterday and this
morning I can feel my body, soul, mind and
strength beginning to get better. Until yesterday
it seemd as though I was never going to get my blood pressure up from
70's/40's, and that was really keeping me
drained. But last night it started climbing a
little and as I update you this morning it is
132/84. This number is without taking my
blood pressure pill. They took me down to surgery
on Tuesday morning about 9:00 am, and when they started to
wake me up I really thought I had just went to
sleep. When I asked them what time it
was, and they told me it was 5:30 pm I almost
panicked and began to cry and say, "Oh, my
poor family! What have I put them through today?"
Apparently, about the time they were
getting ready to complete the surgery, I started
bleeding pretty bad from my left groin
and chest. I ended up being in surgery for about
eight and a half hours that day. Like I said,
Wednesday and Thursday were very difficult days, I am now starting to feel
more like my old self again. Although Dr. Schoen
and his nurse Linda were disappointed that they were not able to get
me back into 100% perfect rhythm, they have
gotten me SO CLOSE! My rhythm is MUCH better
today than it was on Tuesday morning. Dr. Schoen
said there was only a couple places on
my heart that they were not able to get exactly
right, and is planning to bring me back
(one last time) on October 7 to try another
CardioVersion (shocking) of my heart, to see
if that will fix the problem. It seems as though
my heart as been out of rhythm since sometime after the summer of
2012. During that summer Leisa and I walked at
least 4 miles every day. I enjoyed
walking so much that one day I walked about 16
miles. When I tried starting back in the
summer of 2013, I just couldn't do it anymore. At
the time I didn't know what was wrong,
but now it seems as though that was the time my
old ticker messed up on me. Although, it was only
diagnosed last October, 2013, it must have happened earlier than
that. The longer your heart goes being out of
rhythm, the larger it gets and the less
the chances get of getting it back into normal
rhythm. Dr. Shoen said when he actually got into
my heart on Tuesday morning, he could tell from
the enlargement of the upper part, that it had
been out of rhythm for much longer than
last October. If they are NEVER able to get me
any better than what I am right now, I will be PERFECTLY
OK with that because I feel so much better than I
did before. But, not only am I in the
hands of earthly physicians, but more
importantly, I am held by THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!
Sorry for ranting so much this morning, but I
just wanted to tell you personally what I
have been going through this week. And also THANK
each and every one of you for your
emails, messages, texts, calls, visits, and
ESPECIALLY your prayers! Each of them has
meant so much to me! Don't stop now because I
have still got a little way to go!
