Kathy,

Loving one, I can relate to that feeling. We are in the same perdickerment
here with our front portch digging. You see, the footings for the columns
have to be dug and poured before the portch can be built. It has been
raining here, also, and the contractor we've highered to do this job is far
behind due to the rain we've been having. I do completely understand what
you are going through.

I'm praying that The Lord will allow this job to be done for you very
promptly and that all will go smoothly. I'm also praying that when the
digging is done, they can start pouring the foundations and get started
building the house verysoon.

I guess what gets me baffled, is that this person who is doing the digging
and pouring the footings for us, tells us he can't pour the cement if it's
going to rain, because it will get wet. The truth of the matter is, that he
can pour them, and they can be covered with plastic so they don't get wet.
If they are poured in the morning, we usually don't get rain until the
evening or night. I suppose they are probably telling you the same thing.

When we built the back entry on our house in Manchester, we did the digging
ourselves, and after Vernon got the forms put in, it rained, big time. We
had to wait a while to do the cement work, but just so you know that that
entry was still standing after the tornado, but the rest of the roof was gone.

The last project we did, on the garage and shop building in Manchester was
interesting because it did rain every morning before the cement was poured,
and then after it was poured, it got so hot, and the contractor sealed it
too soon after it was poured, and it dried too fast..

I'm praying for you in this situation. Please keep us informed as to how it
goes. Many prayers and lovings and squeezings for you and Greg.

Lovingly,
Pat Ferguson
