Thanks for letting us know, great news! I do continue to pray for his
recovery, and that you are able to see him this weekend.
Rhonda

Rhonda and all.

My apology for not updating the list. I had intended to do so but just
caught up with things. They are trying to move Andy from the hospital to a
rehabilitation center which specializes in brain trauma. To sum up the
status on that, it is a bit of a paperwork nightmare but I understand it
will get done. I'm hopeful he'll still be in Green Bay when we visit this
weekend. The place they are moving him to is in the middle of the state
more and quite a distance from where we'll be this weekend, but closer to
us I think from our home, although still a good long drive. His condition
is I think great. His mom and fiance brought him outside the other day and
he right away was asking his mom for a cigarette. His mom and his fiance
both smoke, but I guess Andy had quit not too long before the accident. He
either forgot or just decided to start again. His mom said, or lied,
saying she didn't have any on her, and he looked at her and asked if she
thought he was retarded or something and then proceeded to ask his fiance
for one of hers. Naming each of their brands respectively. At one point he
had his legs caught around his mom's and trying to dig in both purses lol.
I guess he was serious about the smokes hahaha. They went back up to his
room and someone had brought him some mini candy bars and he was better
then. He is talking, laughing a bit, making jokes and now they have him
with a helmet on and he is able to walk around his room when someone is
there. The rehab center he will be moving to is a bit taken back by the
hospital nursing staff keeping him strapped in when no one is around
because the hospital is suppose to be preparing him for the rehab center
where he will be able to walk anywhere he wishes and no physical
constraints. He is doing really great and I think will be recovering much
sooner than they think. I really hope he is still in Green Bay this
weekend as I would love to personally see his progress from the last time
I was there.

Brad
