Knowledge of scripting, Super Nova, a variety of video magnifiers,
Kurzweil
3000, Co-Writer, Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional and Jawbone are a
definite asset.  Of course, it goes without saying that the ability to
provide PC/peripherals trouble shooting and support is among the skills
any
of our associates must possess.

As much as the successful candidate must demonstrate technical skills, the
love and ability to teach is equally vital.  A talent for writing is a
clear asset.    Knowledge of Braille rudiments important.

background began in 1977.  We have 20 associates on staff, who provide a
high level of assessments, individual user training, "training the
trainer"
training, technical integration and support to over 1,000 individuals

De Witt & Associates produces a variety of training materials for use by
various governmental or not for profit organizations to be used by their
assistive technology specialists.  "Courseware for Assistive Technology
Trainers: Consistent Training Right Out of the Box," is currently in use
in
ten states, from California to Rhode Island, Alaska to Louisiana and in
eight Southeastern Asian nations.  We market PC Talking Typing Tutor
worldwide, a self voicing, enhance image interactive program for blind,
low
vision or LD individuals to independently learn keyboarding skills.  We
are
currently developing a simulated business office training component for
one
of our major clients.

De Witt & Associates' headquarters are in Midland Park in northeastern New
Jersey, less than one hour from New York City by public
transportation.  However, the successful candidate may want to locate in
central Jersey such as Essex, Morris or Union counties.  Although based at
one of our offices, periodic travel within New Jersey is
required.  Occasional three to four day training assignments out of state
also may occur.
