NEADS Launches the NEADS CampusNet Project!
The CampusNet Project is an initiative which will expand the resources
offered on the web site of the National Educational Association of Disabled
Students (NEADS). This project is funded through the Office of Learning
Technologies, Human Resources Development Canada.
The goal of CampusNet is to create a uniquely Canadian online collaborative
community. It will bring together disability-related campus-based
organizations, associations, committees, and groups. The objective is to
create a virtual community of learning where information on campus-based
issues, projects, and activities that affect students with disabilities can
be shared and discussed across the country. In addition to providing a
means of communicating between groups, CampusNet will help these groups
create their own web page in the community. All of this information will be
provided online and free to everyone.
If you are a Canadian college or university disability-related
organization, association, committee, or group we would like to hear from
you. If you are aware of such a group and/or committee on your campus, please
pass this notice on to them.
We invite groups interested in becoming part of the CampusNet community to
contact the CampusNet Project Consultant, Chris Gaulin:

Each group will be asked to complete a short telephone interview. The
interview will guide us as we design and build this community.

NEADS annonce le lancement de son projet CampusNet
Le projet CampusNet est une initiative qui augmentera les ressources
offertes sur le site Web de l'Association nationale des étudiant(e)s
handicapé(e)s au niveau postsecondaire (NEADS). Ce projet est subventionné
par le Bureau des Technologies d'Appretissage (BTA), Développement des
Ressources Humaines Canada (DRHC).
Le but du projet CampusNet est de créer un réseau collaborateur en-ligne
qui sera unique au Canada. Le projet rejoindra des organisations,
associations, comités, et groupes se rapportant à l'incapacité. L'objectif
sera de mettre en place une communauté virtuelle d'apprentissage, un
endroit où des informations concernant des questions, projets et activités
sur campus affectant les étudiants ayant des incapacités pourront être
partagés et discutés à travers le pays. En plus de rendre disponible un
moyen de communiquer entre groupes, CampusNet assistera ces groupes à créer
leurs propre page Web à l’intérieur de ce réseau. Toute cette information
sera disponible sans frais, en-ligne.
Si vous faites partie d'une organisation, association, comité ou groupe se
rapportant à l'incapacité dans un collège ou université au Canada, on
voudrait entrer en contact avec vous. Si vous êtes au courant de
l'existence d'un tel groupe sur votre campus, veuillez leur faire parvenir
cette communication.
Nous invitons donc tous les groupes intéressés à faire partie du réseau
