We have some Parrot Software. It is more of a therapeutic tool and not an
assistive technology tool.

Others have already recommended other software that do what you described
and there are many more.

Subject: Aphasia and speech enabled reading programs

Hi all,

I need to help an uncle who has Aphasia. A google search has resulted in a
number of relevant links such as
http://www.parrotsoftware.com/goto/aphasia.htm

has any one had any experience with the programs listed on the above
website?

My uncle at this point is looking for a text reader that will allow him to
read the xcreen and get audio feedback on what he is reading. I do not even
know if such a program will be appropriate for him. Any one any thoughts?
Assuming that such a program may help, any one got any URLs?

Pranav
