EASI Consulting

EASI announces a new resource for post-secondary education, EASI
Consulting.  This consulting service offers campus and system-wide guidance
on information technology accessibility to colleges, universities and
libraries.

EASI, an independent, not-for-profit 501c3 corporation, provides
information and guidance in the area of access-to-information technologies
by individuals with disabilities in education, libraries, and the
workplace.  EASI has delivered on-line training to some 5000 people in over
40 different countries, presented at scores of professional conferences and
universities, and hosts special tracks of topical presentations at leading
adaptive technology conferences.   EASI has received three National Science
Foundation grants to disseminate information on access to science, math,
engineering and technology.

EASI Consulting consists of a team of leading practitioners of adaptive
technology support services.  (See web site address, below, for team member
background)  Your campus can benefit from their years of experience and
innovation to offer your students, faculty and administrative staff the
best in universal access to information technology.   EASI's team of
consultants is available for on-campus visits and follow-up email and phone
support.

EASI Consultants specialize in assistance with policy and planning in the

- Campus IT accessibility needs assessment
- Comprehensive campus-wide IT accessibility planning
- Departmental planning and budgeting
- Developing accessibility guidelines for

EASI Consulting also offers guidance and train-the-trainer support in a

Multimedia.   Classes may be taken individually or together to earn a
certificate in accessible information technology in partnership with
University of Southern Maine.
