Sorry to bring you down to earth, Don. In my own country, the
American Embassy (and all kind of American pressure lobbies, even
American Presidents) are threatening with sanctions if we persist in
our democratically voted IP law which is absolutely in agreement with
international trade practice and law.  But American Government (and
American pharmaceutical labs, who have already helped throw down a
President in my country) think it is not good enough for them.

In fact, many Argentines believe that with the current IP law, our
country has broken its good tradition of caring for IP *and* public
welfare to please American will. Most Argentines who do not believe
it simply ignore the issue, or are not aware of the implicancies of
IP legislation.
