The US/ NATO War Against Russia has started to heat up again this week.
What, you hadn't heard that there was a war against Russia? Yes,
it's one of the biggest secrets around, but it has been going on for
some time now. Like about some 83 years or more, even befor NATO was
formed.

I know, you thought that victory had been announced some time ago
against the "Godless communism" of The Soviet Union. Most of The
Right and The Left in the Western Word had signed on in some form or
another to fight this battle. But we missed something.

There was another battle being waged by the United States also, and
victory was never announced in this war. That was the war of The
American Empire against The Russian Empire. It fooled a lot of us.

It seems that many of us took the hook of Anti-communism- lock, stock,
and barrel. Patrick Buchanan is one example, he naively thought he
was in a battle to defeat JUST "Communism" alone. Now, he has figured
it out (ahead of the liberals), and he's pissed off. He never wanted
to fight the Russian people themselves, he was only rabidly
anti-Communist, not anti-Russian.

Let's look at the different stages of The US War Against Russia,
starting with Stage One of the end game, Afghanistan. Nobody, except
special forces in the US military and government, much realized what
was going on. But an opening in the decades old War Against Russia
was seized upon. And funding into the multi-billions began to flow,
by way of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, into supporting the Afghan forces
opposing Soviet interests in the region.

Now, it is widely recognized that this was the beginning of the end for
The Soviet Union. But as Buchanan has stated cogently, Clinton when
he came to power along with Blair and Schroeder of Germany, was not
satisfied with this "victory" alone. The Russian Empire still
remained essentially intact, with Russia's continued control
regionally, of immense natural resources. This could not stand.

The top government and business leaders of the US, originally appeared
sincere in wanting to help the Russian people establish what was
considered the capitalist good life. But as time went by, it became
clear that this began to change. First it began to change from
sincere good will, to a new desire of Western Capitalists to get rich at
the expense of the Russian people, by arriving first with the New Wave
of capitalist endeavor.

But then it also quickly became clear, that the riches were going to
accrue into the bank accounts principally of a new class of criminal
Mafiosos that were coming out of the Russian nomenclature. THOSE,
who had guided the Communist Party into it's surrender to The West,
were the principal ricipients of the looting of the accumulated wealth
of the Soviet Union.

It became clear that no permanent stability could be built on this
social base. So a section of the top layers of the Western Bloc
countries, led by the United States, began to plot how to come out on
top of the rubble that is soon to follow.

As excitement began to grow at the thought of the possiblity of further
looting of The Russian Empire (but this time with the benefits to
directly flow to the multinationals, not to the Russian nomenclature), a
more ambitious strategy began to be prepared to continue the war against
Russia.

Each success for The West seems to have fueled the greed. Italy
first got Slovenia. Germany thengot Croatia to add to it's other
prizes. And the US just recently got Bosnia and Kosovo, to add to
the larget treasure chest of them all, that of the US. But the greed
knows no end.

These treasures won at war, were not from the main body of The Russian
Empire proper. There is still a Russian orbit, of sorts, that has
stayed out of control of The West. And that's where the natural
wealth is, both in minerals and oil. The focal point for control of
Siberia and The Caspian Basin oil, is The Caucasus.

Now all attention is focused almost exclusively on Russian troops
advancing on Chechenian positions. But little attention has been
focused on Dagestan, an area attacked earlier last year by the
Chechenian forces now under retreat. This week, the foreign minister
of the US supported breakaway "Chechenian Republic", was busy in
Washington D.C. meeting with members of The US State department.

At the same time, the Turkish "President" was in Tbilisi, Georgia,
calling jointly with Georgian dictator Eduard Shevardnadze, for a US
supported, anti-Russian security pact for The Caucasian region. Of
specific interest, was their reaching out to bring Azerbaijan more
securely into the US anchored alliance against the Russians. The
Russian response? We will use The Bomb if necessary.

We are now firmly implanted in Round Three of the end game of The War
Against Russia. Round Two was the NATO attack on Yugoslavia. So
let's examine the current international allignment of political forces
in The Western Bloc?

It is clear that the main bodies of The Right and The Left, have
switched allignment significantly. The Right, represented by
libertarianism and Buchanan, has now become anti-imperialist.
There is a real fear that the greed of the multinationals will lead to
nuclear war and chaos.

The main body of The Left, continues to stick with the traditional
postitions of Social Democracy and liberalism, out of a real fear of The
Traditional Right. The Thatcher and Reagan led Right, led decades
of assault on the living standards of the Working Populations within the
Western Bloc. And American liiberals feel that supporting imperialism,
is a price they are willing to pay, as long as the price stays at the
current low level to mainstream Americans.

Of key interest, has been the role of Trotskyists and Left Libertarians
in the Western countries; they have allied themselves with liberalism.
Most citizens are not even aware of a continued existence of such
groups. But they exist, and intellectuals and grouplets alligned
with these currents, have played a key role in formulating the new
pro-imperialist consensus.

Since the days of when the struggle for control of Bosnia began, these
Far Left intellectual currents have been the most adept at enumerating
in the popular press, the supposed "humanitarianism" of the new
imperialist intevention. They have been the leaders in proposing
what they consider to be "principled intervention".

This then translates, into popular support for intervention by the
imperial powers, into the areas where they want to go.......be it
Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, East Timor, The Caucasus, and even
into maintaining a continuing war against the Iraqi people. Did I
forget to mention Somalia, Haiti, Sudan, and now into Colombia to fight
the so called "drug guerillas"?

This intellectual current, of Left Libertariansim and Trotskyist
groupings combining with liberalism, does not believe that there is a
US war going on against Russia. They so predominate in Left circles
ideologically, that this war against Russia continues to be a secret for
the majority of the Western public.

This, despite the obvious effects that this war has had on the
ex-Soviet Bloc. It is all attributed away to, supposed inefficiency
on the part of the new economic and political leaders of those
countries. Despite their "higher" education, these intellectual
forces only see war in terms of bombs falling. Never into much
more.

One would think, that The Left would recognize other forms of war,
such as ideological war or economic war, but they conveniently leave
mention of this warfare out of their posturing , when it interferes with
giving ideological support to Western imperial, "humanitarian"
intervention. A very few tears are shed later.

The old standby favorite of The Left, was the word IMPERIALISM. But
precisely when The Right has begun to struggle against what they call
THE NEW WORLD ORDER, The Left has seemed to banish all mention of this
concept. Though sometimes it is brought forth to label the victims
of the NWO!

It should be the duty of all, to try to oppose the continuation of The
US War Against Russia. But actually, many Left forces are mobilizing
continually to blame Russia, just as they blamed Serbia.

Their claims to oppose US foreign policy usually are combined with
opposition to internal or regional policies of other countries. This
is supposed to equate to a higher, more moral plane occupied in the
abstract. In the concrete, it means inaction. No opposition at
home to Clintonism.

It is time to build a new antiwar movement in the US. Elements of
both The Left and The Right will have to be present. We The People
can unite in our opposition to a conflict that can only lead to barbaric
destruction. The Russian people will try to defend themselves, no
matter who their leaders are.

The Clinton wars of aggression are leading us closer and closer to the
danger of nuclear resolutions, from Kashmir to The Caucasus. Another
Chernobyl, is even more a likely possiblity, as resources get scantier
and scantier, in the defeated countries of Eastern Europe.

Past leaders, that absent themselves from a call to alliance in the
streets, are not being responsible in showing opposition to The US War
Machine. What is holding people like Noam Chomsky or Ralph Nader
back? Call for Building A New Alliance For Antiwar Action. Do
it today.

US Hands Off The Caucasus!
No War For Oil!
Stop The US/ NATO War Against Russia!

Sincerely, Tony Abdo
