Before jumping to what I see as a naive conclusion, maybe an introduction
to Herbert Marcuse and his writings on the nature of advanced, mature
capitalism and its need for ever expanding markets of consumer "demand"
may help provide an alternate take on the "logical" consequences of
corporate activity.
