I'm sure I need instruction but not about Utopia.  I'm not waiting for
it.  I think the closest you can get to it is Norway, and I'm already
there.  Socialism never lacks a layer of owners.  The layer of owners
is always there.  It is supposed to be the same layer as the layer of
workers.  That's how it is with the military.  The people of the
nation are the layer of owners and the layer of workers.  Some of
those worker/owners are in uniform, doing the dirty work and getting
paid dirt.  The rest of the work/owners are working at other tasks and
paying taxes that enable the military to function.  They also serve,
who toil and pay taxes.  Sure it's out of balance.  All large, complex
system require continual tuning.  In the US, the owner/workers have
neglected that responsibility.  That doesn't change the fundamental
socialist nature of a nation's military.
