I smoked for 30 years; pack/day, quit last November.
Try the patch - expensive, but it worked for me.
That and mental conditioning with positive affirmations.
Look forward to the day when you can say;
"Yo, dude - I got no matches, 'cause I don't smoke."
(note the lack of "sorry")
and feel good about it. That was my first big payback.
Good health (better) is a creeping blessing (insidious).
We all must quit sometime.
