These are the 13 responses I received about Detatched Retinas.

5 have had detatched retinas no one knew if it was connected but wondered as well
2 sugested the diebeties connection
several mentioned age or nearsightedness
several said no, it is not connected

My own research on the internet does not seem to show a connection (other than the diebetic connection)
