I'm testing the listserv waters for the first time with this request.
In January and February my college-aged daughter will be traveling with
a school group to France and Italy. We are both concerned about the
difficulty she might encounter in remaining gluten-free. We will be
copying the restaurant card info provided in the back of AGAINST THE
GRAIN. But do any of you fine folks have pointers regarding where GF
products can be purchased in Paris, Milan, Venice, and/or Florence? Any
recommendations regarding restaurants? She does not speak either French
or Italian. Are there specific, helpful phrases (aside from the
paragraphs provided in AGAINST THE GRAIN) that she should have with
her? Any experiences and tips will be most welcomed. Thank you.
