Dear List Mates:

Just wanted to post a clinical study I came across in case any of you missed
it in your research that they are doing up at the NIH. You can get more
details if you go to www.nih.gov/niams Go to clinical studies type in celiac
for the search.

This is a clinical research study which will screen patients with cerebellar
ataxia to check for antibodies that indicate "allergy" to gluten (wheat
protein). Patients with cerebellar ataxia have problems with coordination,
resulting in "clumsiness" and unsteadiness of posture and walking. They
will do an MRI and intestinal biopsy.

How can we fix all of these problems associated with celiac disease when
the government doesn't even understand it. There is an e-mail
[log in to unmask] Maybe we can all e-mail them and tell them about
the new testing that requires a simple stool test by Dr. Fine's
www.enterolab.com They could even find out what the gene is and compare
it to the celiac gene. Take a schwab of their mouths.

God Bless Texas, eh?

Elaine
